M&C Construction is the name I chose for my company in 2006 when I earned my General Contractor License, derived from a combination of my two children’s names, Maya & Casey. Having worked for over ten years in the construction field, it was time to branch out, and start a business of my own. Tapping into a life-long friendship, with my construction mentor, I began to work with Mike Edenborough. A trusted friend, and Master Carpenter, Mike was an obvious choice as partner.
Mike and I met in 1979, almost 40 years ago, as members of the Boy Scout Troop Six Berkeley. Mike was a member, and I was a candidate. We grew up in the same neighborhood, Mike being a transplant from Dallas, Texas (hence the hard hat), and me, born and raised in Berkeley, California. We have remained close friends ever since, and began our first construction job together, working on my Eagle project in 1986 (pictured above). Mike and I have been working professionally together as general contractors for more than a decade since that time. Specializing in residential remodeling, our turn key operation is small, but very personal. We will arrive at projects on day 1 and be there through completion, meaning, we do it all!
